claude-code-ide--resolve-program is a natively compiled function defined in claude-code-ide.el.

Return an absolute path for PROGRAM when it resolves locally.

A bare name is looked up via exec-path(var)/exec-path(fun); a name with a directory component is expanded relative to default-directory. Returns PROGRAM unchanged when the lookup fails, leaving the missing executable for the terminal backend to report.

Ghostel's native PTY path (ghostel 0.35.x) execs PROGRAM against the raw process environment, whose PATH can be missing exec-path(var)/exec-path(fun) entries that the rest of the package resolves against; passing an absolute path sidesteps that lookup.
