ghostel--module-sidecar-path is a natively compiled function defined in ghostel-module-install.el.

Documentation

Return the path of the module version sidecar inside DIR.

The sidecar is a one-line file holding the version string of the neighbouring native module. It is written by build.zig at compile time and by ghostel--download-module after a successful download, so the loader can check the on-disk version without module-load.
