ghostel-copy-mode is an interactive and natively compiled function defined in ghostel.el.

Documentation

Enter copy mode for selecting and copying terminal text.

Freezes the terminal (live output is paused) and makes the buffer read-only. Standard Emacs navigation, search, and marking work across the full scrollback. When ghostel-readonly-fast-exit is non-nil press \q or M-x ghostel-readonly-exit (ghostel-readonly-exit) to exit; exiting returns to whichever input mode was active before.
