claude-code-ide-buffer-name-function is a customizable variable defined in claude-code-ide.el.

Function to generate buffer names for Claude Code sessions.

The function is called with the working directory and should return a string to use as the buffer name. It may accept a second optional argument, the instance name (nil for a project's first, unnamed instance), to control how additional instances are named. Single-argument functions keep working: the instance name is then spliced into (or appended to) their result.
