Variable: dired-async-file-directory-p-fn

dired-async-file-directory-p-fn is a variable defined in dired-async.el.

Value

file-directory-p

Documentation

The function used as file-directory-p fn for the from files.

In dired-create-files, file-directory-p run on each candidate before being async, which is costly when copying many files from a remote like for example adb. A faster function may be let-bound to this variable to speedup preprocessing of candidates in dired-create-files. For instance, Helm use here helm-ff--file-directory-p. This is used only once on each candidate during the preprocessing of files before running async. It should be used only there and let-bounded, don't bind it globally.
