ghostel--spinner-active is a buffer-local variable defined in ghostel.el.

Non-nil when this buffer has a spinner started by ghostel-spinner-progress.

The spinner object itself lives in spinner.el's buffer-local spinner-current; this flag is what ghostel inspects to keep ghostel-spinner-progress idempotent and to give the sentinel something to gate teardown on.
