Variable: indent-bars-no-descend-lists

indent-bars-no-descend-lists is a customizable and buffer-local variable defined in indent-bars.el.

Documentation

Configure bar behavior inside (nested) list contexts.

If non-nil, displayed bars will go no deeper than the indent level at the starting line of the innermost containing list.

If the symbol skip, nested list contexts are considered (for the line start position). In addition to bars going no deeper than the innermost containing list, bars which appear between the indent level of lines with list-opening characters for all the nested lists are skipped (not displayed).

N.B., this custom variable could formerly be set to a list of characters to limit list-opening characters to. This fuctionality has been replaced by indent-bars-ppss-syntax-table.
