ghostel-point-leave-input-mode is a customizable variable defined in ghostel.el.

Input mode to switch to when point leaves the live input point in semi-char.

Triggered by any command that moves point off the terminal cursor without a mouse click or region activation. Something like isearch, consult-line, avy, goto-line, wheel scrolling, etc. default follows ghostel-readonly-default-mode; nil disables the switch.
